september 3rd friday faves

:: These paper people by Colt Bowden are so inspring! It really makes me want to try making some of my own. Paper, a sewing machine + some creativity make a great combination.

:: Speaking of paper people, these retro cutout scenes from Maxim Dalton are all kinds of fun. He’s got a variety of scenes, all brilliantly illustrated.

:: I’m in love with all the delicate vintage dresses at Flour Clothing. They’rea on pricier side, but for the condition and the quality they seem to be worth the extra dough (hah, see that’s funny cuz…oh, nevermind).

:: The season of tomatoes and basil is drawing to a close, but luckily I still have an abundance of both. This Catalan Tomato Bread from Erin is a lazy man’s bruschetta, but simple is good.

:: If you’ve recently acquired an abundance of new pens and pencils, store them in your own fabric-covered can. Natalie Jost does a quick and easy DIY tutorial over on her blog.

:: The newest issue of NEET magazine just came out, and as usual it’s packed with fun finds. Check it out–it’s free, and online only.
