Friday Faves August 20th

:: I recently discovered the very affordable and delightfully trendy online shop Ruche, thanks to my friend Kelly (check out her and her husband Ryan’s amazing photography site). She posted this coffee shop dress the other day and I think it’s perfectly fabulous.

:: Christine from the famous maganda.org just started a new blog called BRUNCH. I love her writing style and bright photos. Her chopped mexican salad recipe is a great way to finish out the summer.

:: Okay, I admit it–I’m a little obsessed with succulents. They’re modern, fun, cheap and easy to care for. Needless to say, browsing through the SucculentsGalore Etsy shop makes me smile (and want to cover my entire patio in succulents).

:: I love Susy Jack, and I really, really love it when she posts free printables. If your friends are anything like mine, August is chock-full of birthdays–so this free printable birthday card will come in mighty handy.

:: Alice Melvin is one supremely talented illustrator. She also brainstorms some really fun projects that combine paper, scissors, and her lovely drawings. Her Cut Out and Make Mobile requires nothing more than scissors and string to produce charming birds (via Mint Design Blog).

:: Sherri and John over at Young House Love post some of my favorite home decor DIYs–easy, inexpensive, and super-cool. These corkboard vases are a great addition to a kitchen or office and a quick way to incorporate some texture into a room.
